Setting Up Your Hardware
Before you begin digitizing audio from your tape deck or turntable, you need to properly connect the components.
Note: If your Macintosh computer does not have a Sound In jack, you can add one to your computer by connecting an audio input device or sound card.
What Are the Input Device and Input Source?
In order to import audio into CD Spin Doctor, you need an audio input device.
An audio input device allows you to connect an audio source--such as a turntable, cassette player, or other device--to your computer. An audio input device contains one or more audio input sources (jacks), which means you can connect as many audio sources to your computer as there are jacks.
Some Macintosh computers come with built-in (internal) audio input devices. If your computer does not have one, you will need to install one.
